In the past decade, enormous efforts have been made to devise strategies to improve the lives of the many millions of people in the world. In these efforts, an important concept is the role people themselves play - participating in the decisions and in the implementation of individual and community health programmes.
Many people do not have ready access to health services, and must rely on local knowledge and traditional practices for health care. Every household has atleast one such member who is accustomed with local health practices. There is, therefore, abundant experience and resources in our country which could be mobilised to support health programmes.
Indian government through its national health structure has enforced the role of active community involvement. And the programme's effectiveness would be increased if local people could contribute to and play a part in its functioning.
Inspired by the World health organisation's idea of community health initiatives (like CIH) , Anaamaya Holistic Care Clinic seeks to actively involve public in Community For Health Development(CFHD) programme, which aims to bring in imaginative new approaches to bring together the formal / professional health structure and local people with their knowledge, experience & resources.
Join us in our journey to good health through preventive medicine & health education , community participation and most importantly a positive mindset towards health.
